Together with the Departments, Graduate Schools, and Research Training Groups, Ingenium promotes the academic and non-academic career of early career researchers at TU Darmstadt.

The umbrella organization pursues the following institutional objectives:

• Advanced training courses promoting academic and non-academic careers.
• Successful completion of the doctorate within an adequate time.
• Comprehensive and ongoing quality assurance of doctoral studies at Technische Universität Darmstadt.
• Supervision of doctoral candidates within a binding and reliable framework.
• Internationalization of the PhD phase.
• Promotion of equal opportunities.

Ingenium consists of two pillars at present:

• Professional Development of early career researchers: advanced training courses on professional and social skills.
• Welcome Office as a drop-in center for international (as well as national) early career researchers.

If you have specific questions or problems, there are various supporting facilities:

• Office for Dual Careers, Families and Accommodation: Questions about child care, searching for kindergartens or schools;, looking for a room, flat, or house.
• Personalentwicklung (web site only in German): Further training courses, coachings, annual performance appraisals etc.
