Despite its technical focus, the TU Darmstadt offers prospective students a wide range of study programs in engineering, natural sciences and human and social sciences.

With around 160,000 inhabitants and well over 40,000 students (27,000 of whom are at the TU), the science city of Darmstadt offers a high quality of life and excellent transport links to destinations in Germany and Europe thanks to its location in the dynamic Rhine-Main region, as well as numerous cultural and tourist attractions in the immediate vicinity.
