The participation in short-term programmes and the summer university organised by TU Darmstadt offers international students new experiences as well as language skills and scientific expertise.

Our International Research Experience Programme (IREP) offers international students (Bachelor's and Master's Degree) from partner universities in the USA and Canada the opportunity to:

  • gain insights into up-to-date research through active participation
  • gather intercultural experiences
  • earn credit points

Our International Summer University introduces students to different areas of research in engineering. In addition, intensive language courses and intercultural trainings are offered within the framework of the summer university.

The aim of the one-semester RoM programme is to provide you with the necessary methods for doing research at the highest level of science and technology.

It is conceived exclusively for French engineering students from École Polytechnique and Groupe des Écoles Centrales.

The programme Automotive Engineering Summer Germany (AESG) by the faculty of engineering offers:

  • Studying automotive technology in Germany, where the automobile was born and most of the premium cars are developed and produced
  • Studying at one of Germany‘s best universities for mechanical engineering
  • Experiencing the cutting edge of automotive research
  • Execution of a research project together with German students

INSPIRED the International Project Week for Interdisciplinary Research-Oriented Digital Learning is a TU Darmstadt initiative within the European Universities alliance UNITE! , the University Network for Innovation, Technology and Engineering. Coordinated by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Department of Biology, and the Department of Materials and Earth Sciences, INSPIRED offers a unique combination of a “virtual classroom” and “real life” project work.
