State health systems:
The health system is organised by the state and financed through tax money (example: Great Britain and Sweden).
Social insurance systems:
The health system is financed by social insurances/health insurance funds and companies and employees pay into these insurances. There are state and private health insurance funds (example: Germany).
Market-based systems:
The health system is controlled by private actors in the form of private insurance companies or citizens pay for their own medical treatment (example: USA).
