Gießen, March 2026 – On March 9 and 10, the official kickoff of the Excellence Cluster TAM – The Adaptive Mind took place in Gießen. Principal investigators (PIs), doctoral researchers, postdoctoral fellows, coordinators: The event brought together more than 70 TAM members, who met for the first time in a larger group setting. The two-day meeting focused on getting to know one another, reflecting on the cluster’s research goals and organizational structure, and—most importantly—engaging in in-depth scientific and interdisciplinary discussions. The exchange of ideas across disciplines marked a central highlight of the program and laid the foundation for future collaboration. Following this inspiring start, research teams at the sites in Gießen, Marburg, and Darmstadt are now moving forward with great momentum as they begin their scientific work within the cluster.
