On September 18, 2026, the Science Slam “Perception & Enjoyment” took place at Haus am Dom in Frankfurt am Main. Physicist and science communicator Dr. Sascha Vogel moderated the event, which was organized by the training provider and science communication agency Science42 in cooperation with the Heinrich Böll Foundation Hesse. Around 150 people attended the science slam.

Five early-career researchers presented their work in ten-minute talks addressing various topics related to perception and enjoyment. Celine Honekamp, a doctoral researcher in the Sensorimotor Control and Learning Group and the excellence cluster “The Adaptive Mind (TAM)”, gave a talk entitled “Delay Adaptation: How Our Brain Brings the Future and Present Together.” Her talk showcased her research on how the brain processes temporal delays and integrates information across different points in time.
