Third-party funds for research are important to conduct own research projects. To successfully apply for research funding, researchers need the knowledge on funding sources, processes and formalities. In this event, we provide an overview on third party-funding opportunities in Germany and support structures at TU Darmstadt.

(wird in neuem Tab geöffnet) holds Master degrees in Political Sciences and International Law. She received her PhD from TUDa with a study on separation of powers and politics in Latin America. After focusing in her work on international development cooperation in governmental and non-governmental organizations, she returned to the academic environment and research support. Julia enjoys enhancing good scientific communication and strives to support sustainability in academic life and research alike. Julia Liebermann
(wird in neuem Tab geöffnet) is a geoscientist und received her doctorate from Georg-August-University Göttingen. After different professional stages for the German Development Cooperation abroad, she took over a scientific position at the Department of Biology of Goethe-University Frankfurt doing research on the effects of climate change on savannahs of West Africa. In 2015, she switched to science management at TU Darmstadt. Here, she worked firstly as a coordinator of a BMBF-financed project for the improvement of the teacher education degree programmes. Since 2023, Dr. Bachmann is part of the Ingenium team as advisor for the promotion of R3-postdocs, the postdocs striving for professorship. Yvonne Bachmann
(wird in neuem Tab geöffnet)is a literary scholar and received her doctorate from Justus Liebig University in Giessen and the Universidade Cathólica Portuguesa in Lisbon with a thesis on the South African writer J.M. Coetzee. After professional stages in foundation and cultural management, she switched to science management after her doctorate. At Ingenium, she coordinates the Ingenium networking programme and other networking events, as well as the Ernst Ludwig Mobility Grant for postdocs. She is also (career) advisor for prospective doctoral candidates, doctoral candidates and postdocs. Angela Müller
