Goals and Methods
In order to provide female professors an opportunity to exchange ideas, consult, and network with peers, the gender Equality Office, in cooperation with the department of Human Resources and Organisational Development (POE), has developed a forum for female professors to meet.
The forum is hosted by representative professors from the three TU Darmstadt departmental clusters: natural sciences, engineering and humanities. Each representative from these areas sends out invitations for a 2-hour meeting in the forum. This opportunity allows participating female professors to get to know different methods and contents of work, and issues from different disciplines and various locations.
Other topics can come up during the exchange of experiences (tips and tricks when making requests, questions regarding the work-life balance, experiences with committee work and contacts within the TU, etc.).
