The 6th two-year symposium of the International Society for River Science will take place from September 8 – 13 in Vienna, Austria.
This year's topic “River landscapes as coupled social-ecological systems” dealing with research on the use and protection of water resources with a focus on heavily modified riverine landscapes. In this context, the junior research groups SEE-URBAN-WATER and PlanSmart offer a special session on “Nature-based solutions of various scales in urban and rural river basins”. We are looking forward to receive your abstracts!

The event seeks to network research on different trophic, temporal and spatial scales and to build bridges between ecology, geomorphology, hydrology, biogeochemistry, social sciences, environmental technology, technology and economics.
