    Environmental Engineering student Fabiola Siering receives DAAD-PROMOS scholarship

    Opportunity to carry out field work in Costa Rica for her Bachelor thesis in the SEE-URBAN-WATER project

    As part of the scholarship, Fabiola Siering will travel to Costa Rica from May to July 2019 to carry out fieldwork for her bachelor's thesis in the context of the SEE-URBAN-WATER-Project in cooperation with Universidad de Costa Rica.

    We welcome Conrad Schiffmann as a new PhD student in our group!

    Conrad Schiffmann completed his master's degree in “Governance and Public Policy” at the TU Darmstadt and subsequently worked as an independent consultant and co-founder of his start-up company „ParqueO²“ in San José, Costa Rica.

    Azad Rezvan spent three month of the winter semester 18/19 at our partner university in San José, Costa Rica. During his internship as part of his Environmental Engineering studies he gained many new impressions and made interesting experiences in the terms of country, people, language and culture.     Special session “Nature-based solutions in different scales in urban and rural river basins” – extended deadline for abstract submissions until May 10th!

    Joint session of the junior research groups SEE-URBAN-WATER and PlanSmart at ISRS 2019 in Vienna, Austria.

    The 6th two-year symposium of the International Society for River Science will take place from September 8 to September 13 in Vienna, Austria.

    The topic of ISRS2019 is “River landscapes as coupled social-ecological systems” dealing with research on the use and protection of water resources with a focus on heavily modified riverine landscapes. In this context, the junior research groups SEE-URBAN-WATER and PlanSmart offer a special session on “Nature-based solutions of various scales in urban and rural river basins”.

    Our three exchange students spent the summer semester 2018 at our partner university “Universidad Tecnológica La Salle” in León / Nicaragua and at our partner university “Universidad de Costa Rica” in San José / Costa Rica. In Nicaragua and Costa Rica they were able to gain many new impressions and made interesting experiences in the terms of country, people, language and culture.     Stipendien für Auslandssemester in Nicaragua oder Costa Rica für das WS 2019/20

    DAAD ISAP-Programm mit der Universidad Technológica La Salle in León und der Universidad de Costa Rica in San José

    Im Rahmen der Internationalen Studien- und Austauschpartnerschaft (ISAP) mit unseren Partneruniversitäten der Universidad Tecnológica La Salle in León, Nicaragua und der Universidad de Costa Rica in San José, Costa Rica sind jeweils drei Stipendien (Vollstipendien inkl. Reisekostenpauschale) pro Semester für ein 6-monatiges Austauschsemester zu vergeben.

    Das Stipendium steht allen Studierenden der TU Darmstadt offen. Der Auslandsaufenthalt kann mit einem Praktikum und/oder der Anfertigung einer Abschlussarbeit (z.B. Bachelorarbeit) verbunden werden.
