Darmstadt Energy Prize 2021 awarded

Two award winners in Fuctional Materials

The Advisory Board of the TU Darmstadt Energy Center e.V. has announced the winners of this year's Darmstadt Energy Prize. The best master theses and dissertations from energy research at TU Darmstadt were awarded. The award ceremony took place on March 23 as a virtual event.

Andreas Taubel (Functional Materials), Johannes Oltmanns (Technical Thermodynamics) and Katharina Warncke (Reactive Flows and Metrology) will each receive the 800 Euro prize for the best dissertation.

The prize for the best master's thesis is endowed with 400 euros each and this year goes to Benedikt Beckmann (Department of Functional Materials), Ariane Auernhammer (Department of Reactive Flows and Measurement Technology), and Anna Melina Merkel (Department of Computational Electromagnetics).

The Advisory Board of the TU Darmstadt Energy Center e.V. awards the energy prize annually on the multidisciplinary topic of energy. The works will be assessed in terms of their relevance, originality, creativity and their potential benefits. External form, content traceability even for non-specialist readers and completeness with regard to the objective of the work are also included in the assessment by the board of the advisory board of the TU Darmstadt Energy Center e.V.
