Berthold Leibinger Innovationspreises 2020 for Prof. Bilal Gökce and Prof. Stephan Barcikowski

We congratulate our partners Prof. Bilal Gökce (project B08) and Prof. Stephan Barcikowski (project A11) on receiving the 3rd prize of the well-endowed Berthold Leibinger Innovationspreises 2020 (awarded 24-09-2021) for their work on “Scaled-up Nanoparticle Synthesis by Laser Ablation in Liquids for the Chemical Industry and Additive Manufacturing” (German: "Hochskalierte Nanopartikelsynthese durch Laserablation in Flüssigkeiten für die chemische Industrie und die Additive Fertigung“). Their award-winning approach is also applied in the manufacturing of complex magnets in our CRC/TRR 270. An entertaining description of the process can be found on YouTube.
