Dr. Alexander Zintler, coworker of PI Molina-Luna, receives Harald Rose Award

Award for outstanding doctoral thesis in the field of electron microscopy

2023/11/24

Dr. Alexander Zintler was awarded the Harald Rose Prize for his dissertation. His doctoral thesis entitled “Investigating the influence of microstructure and grain boundaries on electrical properties in thin film oxide RRAM devices – A component specific approach” was supervised by Prof. Molina-Luna in the Advanced Electron Microscopy division and involves the application of state-of-the-art transmission electron microscopy methods to investigate memristor structures.

Part of his thesis was to install, and implement the Direct Electron Detector we use in HoMMage for ASTAR/SPED.

The award was presented on 24.11.2023 as part of the Physics Colloquium of the Department of Physics by the Vice President for Innovation and International Affairs, Prof. Dr. Thomas Walther.
