Carlos Doñate Buendia junior professorship position at University Jaume I (Spain)

2023/11/29

Dr. Carlos Doñate Buendia, postdoctoral researcher of the CRC/TRR 270 within project B08 “Synthesis of magnetic ternary alloy nanoparticles towards formulation of magnetocaloric inks for nanoscale additive manufacturing”, has been awarded a competitive junior professorship position within the GenT programme of the Valencian Community. As one of only 9 recipients of this prestigious position, Dr. Doñate Buendia receives 4 years funding to continue his scientific career and establish the laser- based nanoparticle synthesis, laser material processing, and fabrication of nanoadditivated functional polymers by additive manufacturing research lines at University Jaume I in Castellón (Spain). This award has been granted after his postdoctoral work at University Duisburg-Essen producing nanoadditivated metal and polymer materials, and his postdoctoral group leader position of the “Particles and Additive Manufacturing of Polymers” group within Prof. Gökce’s Chair at the University of Wuppertal. Throughout his postdoctoral phase (2020-2023), Dr. Doñate Buendia was a member of the CRC/TRR 270.
