On November, 22,2024, the University of Duisburg-Essen once again hosted the „Night of Physics” on the Duisburg Campus. As in previous years, numerous visitors attended the event, taking the opportunity to learn about the latest research form the Faculty of Physics through late-night lab tours, lectures, and information booths.

Our CRC/TRR 270 was again represented with a booth and presented the magnetic levitation train developed by the PhD candidates of the first funding period. Our numerous young guests, in particular, were thrilled – not only by the magnetic levitation train but also by the variety of magnetic toys that allowed them to explore the “magic” of magnetism firsthand.
