A10

A10 aims at the development of applicable Selective Laser Melting processes and specific powder precursors for the production of Sm-Co, Nd-Fe-B and, on the long term perspective, other new permanent magnets. We concentrate on realizing the desired micro- and nanostructures that are responsible for a high coercivity during the SLM processing by means of a post-sintering heat treatment. Forming a magnetic texture in the SLM magnets is also a highly desired goal. The influence of nano-functionalization of the precursor powders on the processing conditions, the microstructure, and the magnetic properties are thoroughly investigated.
