Research data management

In close cooperation with the central project Z-INF the scientists of the CRC develop processes and tools to organize and store research data in such a way that their re-use is guaranteed both within the CRC and later outside the CRC. Data repositories, electronic lab book and open access data and publications are topics addressed in this context.

The Z-INF project is essential to ensure the sustainability and accessibility of the research data created inside this CRC/TRR. This project provides easy-to-use interfaces for upload and search of the arising hetereogenous data within the CRC/TRR and serves as expert, consultant and teacher in the area of research data management. The handling, preparation and storage of data is be done in scope of a further utilization in the context of advanced analytical machine learning techniques from the start of the project and realized more profoundly in later funding periods. The vision here is to fill the relations between material-processing, structure and magnetic properties with the data yield by the consortium and to develop their virtual counterpart enabling predictions for not yet realized materials.
