Semester Fees

Semester fees and administrative fees are payable to TU Darmstadt each semester. These are subject to change so please inform yourself of the current fees in good time.

WiSe 2018/19 Semester Fee: 298.34 euros (including 30 euros late charge). The Semester Fee for the degree programme Biomedical Engineering amounts to 394.31 euros* (including 30 euros late charge).

To re-register for the winter semester 2018/19, the total fee of 268.34 euros (298,34 euros for payments after 15th September, 2018), for the degree programme Biomedical Engineering 364.31 euros (394,31 euros for payments after 15th September, 2018) must be credited to TU Darmstadt's account within the re-registration period .

New students don’t have to pay an additional fee for payment after that date. Please note the payment deadlines indicates on your letter of acceptance.

If your payment is received after 15th September 2018, an additional late fee of 30.00 euros is required by bank transfer. The total fee therefore increases to 298.34 euros, for the degree programme Biomedical Engineering to 394,31 euros. Re-registration for the winter semester 2018/19 is typically excluded after that time.

From the beginning of the re-registration period, 1th July 2018, the study documents will be uploaded in your TUCaN-account and sent by letter post as soon as the semester fee has been received on the account of TU Darmstadt.

If payment is incomplete, expulsion from the university shall proceed in accordance with Section 59 (2) no. 2 and 4 of the Hesse University Act (HHG).

International Erasmus/exchange students or students from partner institutions who are guests at TU Darmstadt do not pay any administrative fees and in this case are asked to transfer a total of just 218.34 euros to re-register. This does not apply to TU Darmstadt students going abroad with these programmes.

*Due to the cooperation with the Medical Faculty of Goethe-Universität in Frankfurt, the charge for the RMV – semester ticket is higher. Therefore the semester fee for the degree course Biomedical Engineering is higher as the usual semester fee at TU Darmstadt.
