Traffic and Transport
Master of Science
Verkehrswesen, M.Sc.
Description
The M.Sc. Traffic and Transport has the goal of combining the field of traffic with the specialised disciplines of economic sciences, civil engineering and mechanical engineering. Information from the fields of railway technology, logistics, automotive technology, commercial and air transport will be approached from an interdisciplinary perspective. Basic knowledge from subjects not covered in the Bachelor degree programme will be made up in the beginning of the studies. In subsequent semesters, students will deepen their knowledge in all three specialised disciplines, as well as choose one area to specialise in as their major subject. The central aim of the programme is to both expand the breadth and depth of knowledge of the area of specialisation. Students will gain practical experience by completing an internship. In this way the theoretical aspects acquired during the programme will be practiced in contexts such as industrial firms, administration or consulting firms who work in the field of transport, or in transport firms. This experience will prepare students for later careers in this field. It is also possible for students to spend a semester abroad studying or working towards the Master’s thesis. A mentoring system supports each student during the process of selecting suitable courses and subjects, which must be completed prior to the first semester. – Please check the for more facts on the programme. departmental information
