Bio-Materials Engineering
Curriculum
The Bio-Materials Engineering program builds on the bachelor's program of the same name, and graduates are awarded the academic degree “Master of Science (M.Sc.)”.
Here you have the opportunity to choose one of two specializations (Paper Science, Biofabrication and Regenerative Medicine), which will be indicated on your transcript. Alternatively, you can choose to keep all options open by selecting the specialization “General Bio-Materials Engineering.”
Whatever you decide, there are numerous modules available that not only focus on mechanical engineering, but also incorporate the interdisciplinary fields of biology, chemistry, materials science, physics, and electrical engineering and information technology.
The program is rounded off by practical courses. These include tutorials and advanced design projects, where you will gain insight into cutting-edge research topics, work on challenging projects yourself, and ultimately present your findings.

| Internship | There is no compulsory internship for the Master's programme in Bio-Materials Engineering. However, there is the option of external project work in industry, which can be incorporated into the degree programme. More information can be found in the module handbook. |

1. A degree B.Sc. Bio-Materials Engineering of TU Darmstadt (reference programme) or an equivalent degree 2. Passed Entrance requirements verification in accordance with the Competences description |
