Preparatory language courses
TU Darmstadt's Studienkolleg offers stud the following language courses:
- B2 course (ca. 12 weeks, semester language course)
- DSH course (ca. 12 weeks, semester language course)
- DSH exam training (8 days, just before the DSH exam)
Please note that the language courses offered by Studienkolleg are not free-of-charge.

Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang (DSH)
Darmstadt offers applicants the opportunity to take the DSH exam.
Please note that the DSH examination cannot be taken free of charge.

Intensive German language course (english-language Masters programmes)
The Language Centre of the TU Darmstadt offers international Master's students in English-language courses the opportunity to take part in an intensive German course before they begin their studies. There are courses at different levels for beginners and advanced students. All courses last four weeks and take place in March and September.
Participation is free of charge.

Intensive German language course
We offer a four-week intensive German language course for our exchange and double-degree students before the start of each semester. The course is offered in September and March. It is free of charge and participation is voluntary; however, it is highly recommended for all exchange students. Participants may obtain 6 ECTS for this language course.

German Language Courses during the Semester
At the Language Resource Centre you will be able to take German courses during the semester. Where applicable, these will be integrated into your Learning Agreement and will eligible for ETCS. Please note that there are special rules for course registration.
