Scholarship for More Equal Opportunities

The Technical University of Darmstadt is once again awarding the Scholarship for More Equal Opportunities. This scholarship, which is funded by the DAAD, aims to support international students whose financial difficulties are directly related to individual challenges they face during their studies.
The Scholarship is designed to assist international students who are dealing with various special circumstances. To be eligible for this support, these challenges must arise from one or more of the following circumstances:
- Refugee background
- Disability and/or chronic illness
- Gender identity
- Care responsibilities for relatives or children
The scholarship provides financial support of €500 per month for six months, totaling €3,000. Applications are now open, with a deadline of 10 September 2026. Successful applicants will begin receiving their scholarship on 1 October 2026.
