Two-factor authentication (2FA)
The introduction of two-factor authentication (2FA) at TU Darmstadt is being carried out jointly by the University Computer Center (Hochschulrechenzentrum (opens in new tab) HRZ) and the central information security department at TU Darmstadt (InfoSec (opens in new tab)).
The central services of TU Darmstadt are protected by activating two-factor authentication (2FA) (opens in new tab) for the TU-ID. This protects all services connected via the TU Darmstadt central single sign-on (SSO).
TUCaN is not yet connected to the central SSO process. With a timely update of the web portal, TUCaN will be connected to the SSO of TU Darmstadt. You will then be able to use the second factor set up in the IDM portal to log in to TUCaN as well. Instructions for setting up two-factor authentication for the TU ID can be found on the HRZ website (opens in new tab).
Until the update is complete, it will not be possible to set up two-factor authentication for TUCaN.
