etit scientist Yvonne Späck-Leigsnering receives prestigious award
On 13 December 2023, Dr. Yvonne Späck-Leigsnering, Athene Young Investigator at TU Darmstadt, will be honoured as a Young Scientist of the Werner von Siemens Ring Foundation. She receives the award, which is endowed with 10,000 euros, for her contribution to the development of a future energy distribution system for renewable energies. The award ceremony will take place in the Electoral Palace in Mainz.

CREATOR Retreat 2023

2nd CREATOR Retreat in Seeheim, near Darmstadt
On July 11-14, 2023 we met for the 2nd CREATOR Retreat in Seeheim, near Darmstadt. Hosted by TU Darmstadt at the Lufthansa Conference Centre, over 50 CREATOR members and associates came together for presenting their projects, discussing the status quo and attending interesting talks, e.g. by Prof. Yves Burkhardt, giving an insight into his research activities at his chair of Electrical Drive Systems, furthermore the one given by newly elected advisory board member Dr.-Ing. Markus Kraft, joining from Robert Bosch GmbH, Renningen, contributing the industrial input to the retreat.
