Futury Summer School 2026

From September 7 to 10, 2026, the Center for Synthetic Biology at TU Darmstadt, in collaboration with Futury, will host the interdisciplinary Start-Up Summer School in Darmstadt and Frankfurt. Students, doctoral candidates, and postdocs in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, materials science, engineering, computer science and economics, as well as related disciplines, are invited to attend. The Start-Up Summer School offers participants the opportunity to develop scientific ideas in the field of synthetic biology into viable Start-Up concepts.
The four-day program consists of scientific lectures, testimonials from founders, intensive teamwork, and professional business coaching. The goal is for participants to learn the steps necessary to transform an idea into a successful Start-Up. They develop their own business ideas and create pitch presentations, which they present on the final day to an experienced jury of investors and industry experts.
The Summer School combines the academic excellence and spin-off experience of TU Darmstadt with Futury’s strong innovation and investor network. This allows participants not only to gain insights into the world of entrepreneurship but also to forge valuable contacts for their future careers.
The event begins on September 7 and 8 with a symposium on synthetic biology at TU Darmstadt. In addition to the summer school participants, anyone interested is cordially invited to attend.
