Workshop for participants without prior LaTeX knowledge. If you do not have any programming experience yet, we recommend you watch our 1,5 hour-long preparation course on video (only available in German!)

• How does text processing in Word and LaTeX differ?
• Where can I find corporate design templates of the TU Darmstadt?
• How can I create a well-structured document?
• Which LaTeX-commands can help me with scientific writing?

In our workshop you will get answers to these questions and can try out your new knowledge right away in practical excercises.

Please install LaTeX on your computer prior to the workshop, and plan for this to take about 1h. Note the installation instructions below.

You can find the current script of the course on OpenLearnWare. You can watch the recording of a previous workshop on Panopto (as of December 2022). The self-study course with the same content, which you can also complete alternatively, can be found in our Moodle course.

Installing LaTeX

IMPORTANT: There is no time during the workshop to install the program. Please do this before the workshop begins to be able to participate!
