2022/05/30 by

Students who would like to study at a U.S. university for four to nine months as a graduate student in the 2022/2023 academic year can apply now for a study scholarship from the Fulbright Commission.

WHO

Students and graduates of all disciplines who would like to spend one or two semesters at the graduate school of a U.S. university are eligible to apply. Selection criteria are, in addition to good academic performance, social commitment and the potential to engage in transatlantic relations.

Students who deal with topics of digital change in the context of their studies and thus contribute to the promotion of democracy are particularly encouraged to apply.

Applicants must provide evidence of a Bachelor's degree or at least 6 successfully completed semesters in the Diplom, Magister, and Staatsexamen programs no later than August/September 2022.

WHAT

The fellowship provides up to $34,500 in financial support for nine months of study at a graduate school in the U.S., plus advising and mentoring from Fulbright Germany and our U.S. partners and inclusion in the global Fulbright network. For shorter scholarship durations (at least four months), a pro-rata calculation ($15,300) will be made.

HOW TO APPLY

Scholarship applications are submitted online using the application form in the Fulbright Foreign Student Program.

WHEN

In the first selection step, applications will be professionally evaluated by independent reviewers.
