Research Associate (PhD Student) – 65%

The position has a fixed-term contract for 3 years and is to be filled as soon as possible.


  • Contributing to a DFG-funded project on criterion learning in signal detection theory and its neural underpinnings
  • Psychophysical experiments on perceptual decision-making
  • Development and evaluation of cognitive and neural models


  • Excellent scientific degree (Master or equivalent) in cognitive science, psychology, neuroscience, mathematics, computer science, or related fields
  • Proficient in English
  • Excellent analytic and experimental skills
  • Interest in combining theoretical and experimental research in cognitive science
  • Organizational skills, highly motivated, team-player
  • Experience with programming, machine learning, or statistics

Opportunity for further qualification (doctoral dissertation) is given. The fulfillment of the duties likewise enables the scientific qualifications of the candidate.
