Research Associate (Ph.D. Position) in High-Performance Computing (f/m/d)

The position initially involves a three-year fixed-term contract, starting April 1, 2020. An extension of the contract is possible in principle.

The position is dedicated to the design of new scheduling methods for data-intensive applications on high-performance computing systems. It offers rich opportunities for international collaboration with leading research institutions.

The successful candidate will have a master degree in computer science or a related discipline. We expect excellent independent research and support the publication of results in high-impact journals and at top conferences. Required are a very good command of command of written and spoken English, a high level of commitment, and the ability to work in a team. Knowledge of high-performance computing is a plus.

Opportunity for further qualification (doctoral dissertation) is given. The fulfillment of the duties likewise enables the scientific qualifications of the candidate.
