Research assistant/Ph.D. student position – 65%

with a fixed-term contract for 3 years. The position is supposed to be filled as soon as possible.

The research effort is funded by a DFG grant for the project "Learning by Building", in which we strive to design functional domains of ion channels via in silico methods.

Required for this postion is a completed M.Sc. degree on university level, ideally in (bio)physics, computer science, bioinformatics, mathematics, or statistics.

A high proficiency in English is also mandatory.

Opportunity for further qualification (doctoral dissertation) is given. The fulfillment of the duties likewise enables the scientific qualifications of the candidate.

The PhD degree can be awarded either in biology, computer science, or physics.
