The positions are based in Arithmetic Algebraic Geometry with Prof. Timo Richarz. Funds are available to participate in summer schools and conferences and to organize seminars and workshops on site.

Close collaboration with the Algebra Group, the Collaborative Research Center CRC326 - GAUS, and the ERC Grant Motives and the Langlands program is expected.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates with a PhD in mathematics or a related field should have substantial knowledge of modern algebraic geometry. Specialization in one or more of the following areas is desired:

• Langlands program, moduli spaces of shtukas, Shimura varieties
• homotopy theory of schemes, motives, algebraic cycles
• representation theory of reductive groups, automorphic forms
