The Applied Cryptography Group at the Department of Computer Science at TU Darmstadt, is seeking for a

Research Assistant (all genders) in Cryptography

starting as soon as possible for the duration of 3 years with the option of extension.

We develop and analyze cryptographic algorithms and protocols and investigate their application in practice. Our current research focus is the development of protocols for distributive cryptography (e.g., threshold signatures, distributed key generation), the design of cryptographic algorithms for blockchain applications (e.g., multi-party computation, off-chain protocols) and the area of leakage resilient cryptography. Your profile:

  • You completed a university MSc study program in Computer Science or Mathematics, or a similar subject
  • You have a strong background in Cryptography or Theoretical Computer Science
  • You are fluent in spoken and written English
  • You are highly motivated to publish your results, present them at international project meetings and conferences
  • You bring excellent communication skills and enjoy working in interdisciplinary and international teams
