Since sharing knowledge and insight is a matter of principle at TU Darmstadt, we cultivate selected collaborations for mutual benefit. For example, our physicists work with those at the GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research to recreate the extreme conditions of the universe in the laboratory. To find out why things have mass, for instance, they create conditions only to be found inside neutron stars.
