The European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems (ELLIS) is a diverse European network that promotes research excellence and advances breakthroughs in AI by bringing together Europe’s top researchers in modern AI to strengthen scientific excellence and boost economic growth in Europe by leveraging AI technologies. The Darmstadt Unit in the ELLIS network connects the research, educational, and transfer activities at TU Darmstadt to ELLIS.
The Konrad Zuse School of Excellence in Learning and Intelligent Systems (ELIZA) builds directly upon ELLIS and its leading academic network for machine learning-focused AI. Funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), ELIZA transfers the ideas and objectives of ELLIS into a graduate school that connects seven German ELLIS locations (Berlin, Darmstadt, Freiburg, Heidelberg, Munich, Saarbrücken, Tübingen) with their academic institutions. Industrial partners provide direct connections to the AI industry in Germany and beyond. ELIZA directly supports and funds research and education of Master’s and PhD students and aims to become the leading German brand for research and education in machine learning-centered AI.
You will be responsible for maintaining and furthering the networking activities between researchers at TU Darmstadt and the ELLIS network, including other ELLIS units and renowned ELLIS researchers across Europe. Moreover, you will act as contact point for ELLIS in the quickly expanding and highly dynamic AI ecosystem in Darmstadt, including the Hessian Center for Artificial Intelligence (hessian.AI) and the Konrad Zuse School of Excellence in Learning and Intelligent Systems (ELIZA).
