One in four Germans is affected by a mental health issue!
Almost everyone knows someone in their personal or professional life who has mental health issues. In our MHFA first responder courses, you will acquire in-depth knowledge about various mental disorders and crises. You will learn to recognize problems early on, how to approach those affected, and how to help others successfully cope with a mental health crisis. You will be trained to
- provide targeted support
- Share information
- Encourage those affected to seek professional help
- Activate additional resources
The training covers topics such as signs, symptoms, and risk factors of mental disorders, with a focus on depression, anxiety disorders, psychosis, substance abuse, and addiction.
Framework conditions
The Student Health Management offers this seminar to all students free of charge. There is only a registration deposit of €20.00, which will be refunded at the end of the course if you have attended more than 80% of the seminar. In addition, upon successful completion of the seminar, you will receive a certificate attesting to your skills, which could also be useful for your future career.
The course consists of six two-hour sessions.
