What is Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)?

MHFA is an internationally recognized program that aims to identify the signs and symptoms of mental illness. Based on first aid measures, it offers support for those affected and provides straightforward access to further help.

At TU Da, our Student Health Management team offers you the opportunity to train as first responders in this area and to access mental health first aid services.

Mental Health First Aid at SGM

All active first responders in Student Health Management have successfully completed MHFA training and are certified to talk to you about health problems and issues affecting your mental well-being.

It is important to emphasize that the MHFA team does not make diagnoses or offer therapy.

However, the first responders can listen empathetically, offer you straightforward help, and refer you to further assistance. All counseling services are treated as strictly confidential to ensure a trusting environment for all conversations.
