Support the InterCare Research Project – Focus on Young Student Caregivers
Do you care for a relative while studying? Your experience matters!
2025/08/05

As part of the international research project InterCare, intergenerational care and support relationships are being explored – with a particular focus on young caregivers in educational settings (Young Caregivers in Education – YCE). The goal is to work together with those affected and with relevant stakeholders to develop measures that improve the living situation of caregiving students and their relatives. This includes:
structural changes,
concrete support services, and
greater visibility for the challenges faced by young caregivers.
The project is led by Dr. Anna Wanka (DFG Emmy Noether Group “Linking Ages” & DFG Research Training Group “Doing Transitions”, Goethe University Frankfurt).
Are you a student who cares for a family member or relative? Then get involved!
The project is currently looking especially for students who are caregivers to participate.
We at the Student Health Management of TU Darmstadt fully support this important project and thank all participants who contribute to improving the situation of caregiving students.
