Fraunhofer IEE researchers visit the Lichtwiese campus
Independent view of the methodology and results
2024/11/26 by sbo
On 26 November, researchers from the Thermal Energy Technology research field of the Fraunhofer Institute for Energy Economics and Energy System Technology (IEE) from Kassel visited the Lichtwiese campus.
As a non-university research organisation, the Fraunhofer IEE provides an independent view of the methodology and results of the EnEff:Stadt Campus Lichtwiese project. We have asked the insitute to carry out scientific monitoring. The aim is to identify optimisation potential and comprehensively evaluate both the results and the methodology used.
The focus here is on
- Waste heat utilisation of the high-performance computer
- Lowering the grid temperatures
- Energy flexibilisation of the architecture building
- Regenerative heat supply of the mechanical engineering institute
- Digital twins and data acquisition
The will contribute with advice and suggestions for optimising operations, for the efficiency strategy and for evaluating the methodology used in the project. Fraunhofer IEE
