About the Graduate School

Technical University of Darmstadt (TU Darmstadt) provides an outstanding research environment characterized by multiple interdisciplinary and industrial collaborations. In particular, TU Darmstadt has made significant contributions to the field of life science engineering, with its cutting-edge research initiatives and outstanding research facilities. These have enabled the University to establish itself as a prominent player in the field, with a strong reputation for excellence.

In 2019, the International Graduate School Life Science Engineering was established with the primary goal of offering an exceptional interdisciplinary research and training program at the intersection of engineering and life sciences to outstanding PhD students from around the world. The program aims to cultivate a novel, constructive engineering perspective on biology, providing students with the skills to address biological problems using an engineering approach.

Furthermore, the Graduate School facilitates networking opportunities between doctoral candidates and faculty members, providing a supportive and collaborative environment for research. Additionally, the Graduate School promotes the dissemination of research findings by encouraging PhD students to present their work at international conferences
