On December 5, 2023, Associate Professor Nadica Miljković from the University of Belgrade delivered a compelling lecture on the forefront of sensory-motor assessment in patients, with a particular focus on electromyography.

Professor Miljković, also a Guest Researcher at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, highlighted significant research developments. She discussed the innovative work being done on a gait trainer specifically designed for stroke survivors at the University of Belgrade. This gait trainer aims to aid in the rehabilitation process, offering a new lease on mobility for those affected by strokes.

A crucial part of the lecture was dedicated to the experiences and challenges associated with the transfer of knowledge from academic research to clinical practice and subsequently to the biomedical device industry. Professor Miljković emphasized the importance of this pipeline in ensuring that cutting-edge research translates into practical, life-improving medical devices.
