From June to July 2025, we are pleased to welcome two visiting researchers from the group of Prof. Gijs Krijnen at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. During their stay, research associates Carol Derla and Heime Jonkers will be working on additive manufacturing of functional materials and are closely integrated into the work of the MUST group.

The visit is off to an excellent start: after an enormous effort, we were able to successfully complete and submit the first publication within the very first week of joint research activities. We look forward to further fruitful outcomes in the coming weeks and are excited about the time ahead.

Back in 2024, we had the pleasure of welcoming Prof. Gijs Krijnen as a guest speaker as part of the graduate research training group (RTG) LokoAssist. To emphasize the ongoing project collaboration, Heime Jonkers and Carol Derla will also give a technical talk within the RTG framework, to which we warmly invite all interested parties. The presentation will take place on Friday, July 18, at 3:30 p.m. in room S306/051.

In addition to the scientific work, the visit also provides an opportunity to build personal connections between project partners and to promote long-term collaboration.
