On July 16, 2025, Niklas Schäfer successfully defended his doctoral thesis at the Measurement and Sensor Technology Group.

For several years, Dr. Niklas Schäfer was a research associate within the DFG-funded project “Seamless Integration of Assistive Systems for Natural Human Locomotion (LokoAssist )”. His research focused on assistive systems, wearable IMU-based motion capture, and systems with haptic feedback.
