On October 20, 2025, Omid Mohseni successfully defended his dissertation at Technische Universität Darmstadt. The work was carried out jointly at the Measurement and Sensor Technology Group and the Lauflabor Locomotion Lab.

Dr. Omid Mohseni worked for many years as a research associate at the Locomotion Lab of TU Darmstadt within the DFG Research Training Group “Seamless Integration of Assistance Systems for Natural Human Locomotion (LokoAssist)”. His doctoral research was jointly supervised by Prof. Mario Kupnik (Measurement and Sensor Technology Group) and Prof. André Seyfarth (Locomotion Lab), exemplifying the successful interdisciplinary collaboration between the two groups.

In his research, Dr. Mohseni focused on force-based synthesis and control of locomotion in humans and machines. His work made an important contribution to understanding and replicating natural movement in robotic systems and assistive technologies.
