TU Professor Weigold appointed to Industry 4.0 Research Advisory Board

Weigold's research focuses on data-driven and climate-neutral production, applied artificial intelligence (AI) in manufacturing, the further development of automation and manufacturing technologies, and the establishment of sovereign and interoperable value creation networks. He is also responsible for the activities of the ETA factory (energy technologies and their applications in production).
The Industry 4.0 Research Advisory Board currently consists of 34 representatives from science and industry who identify research-based solutions for the further development and implementation of Industry 4.0. The overarching goal is to strengthen the German innovation system and value creation. The work of this interdisciplinary committee is coordinated by acatech, supervised by the Project Management Agency Karlsruhe (PTKA), and funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology, and Space (BMFTR). acatech/mih
