Departmental Coordinators

The departmental coordinator supports you during your studies and helps you with academic questions you might have.

At TU Darmstadt, you are a member of a specific department (Fachbereich) according to your degree programme. All of these departments have a representative who is responsible for exchange students: the departmental coordinator. As an international student, you can always contact your departmental coordinator for issues about:

  • your learning agreement and credit points
  • your degree programme
  • lectures, classes and recognition of academic achievements
  • exams and transcripts of records
  • the campus management system TUCaN

In order to find out who is your departmental coordinator, have a look at the departmental coordinators information sheet (opens in new tab) . Concerning the aforementioned points, you may also refer to the students' office (Studienbüro) of your department.

It is very important that you go to your Departmental Coordinator at the beginning of your stay at TU Darmstadt in order to talk about your academic progress and other issues regarding your studies. If you have entered courses offered by different departments on your Learning Agreement and you are planning to take exams corresponding to these courses, you will have to clarify whether and how you can register for these exams at the beginning of your stay at TU Darmstadt.
