Introductory event: Monday, October 7, 2024 in room L506-11, TU site Lichtwiese at 11:00 a.m.

For first semester students in the Bachelor of “Ingenieurwissenschaften und Mechanik”, participation is mandatory! The event begins with the Dean's address. You can find the building either via the layout plan of TU Darmstadt or look out for a blue crane at the TU-Lichtwiese/Campus station, the building is behind it.

We would like to invite you to the orientation week for first semesters, called OWO. All first semester in the BSc. Ingenieurwissenschaften und Mechanik and MSc. Mechanics are welcome.

The OWO begins with the welcoming speech by our dean. This event is mandatory for first semesters in the Bachelor but also recommended for Master students as our schedule will continue right after.

You can find the building near the tram station at campus Lichtwiese. Just google „L506 TU Darmstadt“ and the campus map should show right up.

After the welcoming speech we will continue with our social and informative events. We highly recommend to join us as you will get important info for the start of your studies and connect with your fellow students.

Furthermore, it is important for new students at the TU Darmstadt to apply for an Athene Card. You will need this card for various things in your everyday life at the TU Darmstadt, for example to pay for food in the cafeteria or to borrow books.Here you can find information on how to apply for an Athene card. Please put money onto the card already, so that we don't have to stand in the long lines at the cafeteria on the first day of OWO. You can load money onto the card in all locations of the Mensa (cafeteria) and the library (ULB).
