Projects and initiatives

Good research data management cannot be archieved by an institution in an isolated fashion. TUdata is therefore part of regional and national cooperations.

We are part of the Hessian Research Data Infrastructure (HeFDI) at the state level and cooperate at the local level within the framework of the Rhine-Main Universities. At national level, we are in close exchange with the research data teams of the TU9 libraries. We are heavily involved in NFDI4Ing, the consortium for engineering sciences in the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI), and develop infrastructure and tools for research data management in this context.

Furthermore, TUdata cooperates with selected (inter)national partners in projects of varying sizes to address specific challenges in research data management. A selection of the cooperation projects is listed below.

In all these cooperations, we benefit from an exchange of experience and knowledge sharing in a network of specialists for research data management. In addition, through this cooperation we can also make selected tools of our partners available at the Darmstadt site or offer our tools for use at our partners' sites.

Researchers at TU Darmstadt are also involved in the NFDI beyond TUdata. This happens both in the specialist consortia and for cross-sectional tasks in the corresponding sections of the NFDI e.V.
