The new PI in Clean Circles, Prof. Wolf Fichtner (KIT), presented his analyses on secured electric power using European power system models. Against the background that new electricity-based applications will significantly increase electricity demand by 2050, he showed the capacity needs for our energy system.
Prof. Fichtner heads the Institute for Industrial Production (IIP) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
