The International Interdisciplinary Forum on Energy and Circular Economy is an opportunity for young researchers to get involved in the unique research environment of Clean Circles accompanied by individual mentoring from experienced researchers. In this series we introduce the participants of the Forum.

Aravind Ravi from India is currently in the 4th year of his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the TU Eindhoven (Netherlands), where he conducts numerical simulations of iron flames. He has a background in Aerospace Engineering and worked at Airbus India for about 3 years.

I am interested in the forum because I work on the numerical and theoretical investigation of iron particle combustion focusing on the flame propagation of iron aerosols. Burning of iron particles does not produce CO2 and considered as one of the alternatives of fossil fuels.
