Among the 70 participants, the Clean Circles partners (TU Darmstadt, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, the German Aerospace Center Cottbus, the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, and the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences) were represented. In addition to poster sessions, the program included overview presentations on the four research areas of Clean Circles and group work sessions to strengthen the interdisciplinary and cross-institutional collaboration. Guests of honor at the retreat were the participants of the International Forum on Energy and Circular Economy and Professor Katharina Kohse-Höinghaus, the spokesperson of the scientific advisory board of Clean Circles.
